Register to Attend “The Eastern Bluebird: Getting Them Here, Getting Them to Stay” on February 17!

| News

Please join us for a free, public presentation by Valerie Kenyon Gaffney, President of the Virginia Bluebird Society!

We will learn about the bird of which Henry David Thoreau wrote, “it carries the sky on his back.” Don’t be surprised if Ms. Gaffney’s presentation on these beloved birds just may inspire you to add a bluebird nest to your backyard and tuck a plastic shoebox of mealworms in with the fresh produce in your refrigerator.

The chapter will also have information available about plants native to the RVA area that help support bluebirds, especially through the winter months!

We will meet on Saturday, February 17 at the Ginter Park Branch of the Richmond Public Library, 1200 Westbrook Ave, Richmond, VA, 23227. The presentation will run from 10:30-11:30.

Tickets are free, but to ensure you have a seat, please register here: http://wild-ones-greater-richmond-virginia-chapter.ticketleap.com/the-eastern-bluebird-getting-them-started-getting-them-to-stay/
