Public Welcome Limited Access Recording Chapter Meeting
This event was promoted to members as an opportunity to sign on and ask questions of chapter officers about Wild Ones or contribute ideas that could help us as we begin planning 2026 activities, or just to chat about their progress with their own plantings. It was not heavily promoted on social media. We did not require registration. A backup plan among board members was that if members did not join us on the Zoom we could use the time to continue planning of a program we are working toward in 2026 Board members. As it turned out, the only people who signed in were the 4 board members involved in planning the new program (a kind of “short course” on turning yard to habitat and including some focus on customizing the new Richmond-area native plant design as guidance for those who want to practice developing a design for their own properties) - so we made the most of the time coordinating with each other and refining our approach to the project.
We did record the meeting as it turned into a planning session. The recording will not be posted but the AI-generated summary has been shared with the participants and the recording will be retained and made available to the participants on request (as it may be useful to review before we move to next stages of the project).
Note: Given the low-key promotion and the approach of the holiday season it is not that surprising that our November Zoom had such sparse attendance. See more in post-event comments.
