Celebrating Henrico County’s Land Lovers!

| News

Here’s a big shout-out for our own Ed Deale, who topped last year’s honorable mention to win this year’s Keep Henrico Beautiful 2024 Land Lover Award for the Brookland District. At the Henrico County Board of Supervisors meeting on June 25, Ed was recognized for his hard work incorporating sustainable practices, including use of native plants, creation of a thriving pollinator garden, conducting soil testing, and reducing or eliminating use of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers.

Another award-winning property this year is that of Chris and Marty Migliaccio, whose native plantings in the Three Chopt District were highlighted in a wonderful presentation that Chris gave to our chapter last fall. You’ll find the full list of award winners by district, as well as the winner of the “Clean Business Award,” here: https://henrico.us/utility/keep-henrico-beautiful/awards/2024-winners/.

Congratulations to Ed, and to Chris and Marty!
